Guru Nanak’s Langar
Guru Nanak’s Langar is a project by a Melbourne based humanitarian aid organisation Khalsa Foundation Australia to support the Victorian community by providing free langar (food) by voluntary donation and distribution.
The concept of ‘Langar (Free Vegetarian Food for all)’ is associated with hundreds of years of Sikh history. Based on the Sikh principle of ਸਰਬੱਤ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ (Well-being and prosperity for everyone), it is designed to uphold the concept of equality among all people of the world regardless of religion, caste, colour, age, gender or social status. To keep this concept alive and strong, we are hoping to provide free vegetarian meals to anyone in need. Our end goal is to serve humanity and to spread the message: “Recognize the whole Human race as one”.
Every Sunday 5 PM Onwards at Corner of Flinders St and Swanston St
